Chase the Light Photography Workshops are designed to take you to our special locations and teach you how to use your digital camera to capture the landscapes, people, and ancient ruins of the Southwest. Daily reviews of your work are our specialty and our pleasure.  We want you to love your photographs.

Star trails and the Night Sky Photography
June 15, 2012
5pm till 10pm, $175. tuition

We'll teach you to use your digital SLR to photograph the night sky, the constellations, and the Milky Way during June's new moon cycle.  Gear list and pre-reading will be sent to all participants. Space is limited, register early.

Waterfalls Photography Lessons
June 2nd, June 9th and June 30th, 2012
San Juan National Forest, $200. per person per day or $550. for all three days

We start the day reviewing your camera, lenses and gear; making sure you feel comfortable with the basics of operation.  Then we head out into the field for a day of photographing waterfalls near Silverton and Durango, Colorado.  Our instructors will show you how to set up a great composition, apply camera and exposure skills and create stunning waterfall images that sing with light and show the flow of water. A gear list will be emailed to all participants.  Beginners welcome.  Midday review of your photographs gives you plenty of time to make adjustments and practice what you've learned.

Colorado Wildflower Photography Lessons
July 14, 21, 28, and August 4, 2012
San Juan National Forest, $200. per person per day or $550. for three days

We review your cameras, lenses and gear; we make sure you understand the basics of your camera operations and how to set up your tripod.  Then we head out into the field for a day of photographing the famous Colorado Wildflowers.  Our instructors will show you how to set up great compositions, use your tripod to focus for near flowers and far mountains, and find your voice photographically.  A gear list will be emailed to all participants.  Beginners welcome.  Midday review of your photographs gives you plenty of time to make adjustments and practice what you've learned. 

Capitol Reef National Park, in all its Fall Glory, Photo Workshop
September 28, 29, 30 and October 1, 2012

Capitol Reef National Park is a spectacular location for fall color photography. Our home base will be at the Best Western in Torrey, Utah.  We'll head out every day, starting at sunrise, and explore the best locations for capturing the stunning redrock, golden cottonwoods, waterpocket fold and amazing scenery from the Burr Trail. Capitol Dome, Chimney Rock, Spring Canyon, Notom Bullfrog Road, Sun Temple and Moon temple will be some of the subjects we photograph.  Bring your family. Gear list will be sent to all registered participants.

Zion National Park, Autumn Majesty Photo Workshop
October 27 through October 31, 2012
$2350. includes accommodations, park entry fees and tuition

Join us for up to 5 days of Photography lessons based in the beautiful Zion Canyon.
